Travel Consultant

Employment type: Full-time

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Travel Consultant with vast knowledge of selling African Safaris to work in our Company. The Travel Consultant will be responsible for creating and selling tailor-made travel packages to clients who want to explore the wildlife and nature of Africa.

  • Design and sell personalised safari itineraries that cater to the needs and interests of clients
  • Research, evaluate and select appropriate suppliers such as hotels, lodges, camps and transport providers
  • Plan and coordinate complex bookings including flights, visas, and travel insurance
  • Provide expert advice to clients on African destinations
  • Build sustainable relationships with clients by providing high-quality customer service
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and business goals
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, payments, and other related documentation
  • Experience selling Southern and/or East Africa safaris with a proven track record of successful sales
  • Knowledge of Southern and/or East Africa destinations, wildlife, cultures, and current travel trends
  • Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and travel booking systems

BOOKKEEPER

Employment type: Full-time

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that our company’s financial transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Capture and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance using Xero.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing payments, invoicing, and following up on outstanding balances.
  • Bookkeeping up to trial balance
  • Ability to reconcile intercompany loan accounts, control accounts and suspense accounts
  • The ideal candidate will grow into a role where they can:
  • Assist the Financial Manager in preparing budgets, financial forecasts and financial reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other financial reports as needed.

    • Relevant degree or diploma.
    • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Xero.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
    • High level of integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential financial information.
