Day 1: Gauteng – Pilanesberg
The commute to Pilanesberg National Park takes around 2-3 hours. The scenic route leading out of the bustling hub of Johannesburg will see us arrive in time for lunch at our lodge for the night, where we will spend the afternoon relaxing before embarking on a late-afternoon game drive.
Exploring the reserve in an open vehicle is an excellent way to get familiar with the denizens of the bushveld and surroundings. Being a Big 5 reserve, we are hopeful of catching a few exciting sightings before returning to the lodge after sundown – where a delicious dinner awaits us to round off our day.

(LUNCH & DINNER INCLUDED)

Day 2: Pilanesberg – Gauteng
While on safari, mornings start early and we’re up before dawn – the perfect time to spot wildlife. Predatory animals are most active during this time. We will spend a few hours observing, learning and exploring this great national park from the comfort of a safari vehicle.
Topping off an exciting 2-day Pilanesberg experience will be our welcoming breakfast back at the lodge before we check out.

(BREAKFAST INCLUDED)

Fully-serviced, luxury en-suite rooms add a touch of class to your experience.

We hand-pick the best lodges with the best reputation for our guests.

Summer – October to March is when the area sees a significant amount of rainfall. Temperatures are expected to be between 26 °C and 30 °C.

Winter – This is known to be the best time to visit the park. During the period around July to October, animals in the park are easier to spot and spend longer feeding. It is also mating season which is definitely worth seeing. Days are generally warm and clear.
