For those looking to spend just a few days on safari, our Pilanesberg 3-day safari experience is for you. Consisting of 2 nights and 3 days, guests will be able to unwind in the bush while being surrounded by all the comforts of a luxury game lodge.

On the first day guests are collected by Biggestleaf Transfers are provided a safe and reliable passage to the Pilanesberg National Park by our friendly drivers. The trip is about 2-3 hours from the major city of Johannesburg.

DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1: Gauteng to Pilanesberg

Our destination lies a 2-3 hour drive out of the major city of Johannesburg. The Pilanesberg National Park is a firm-favourite safari destination in South Africa and we will arrive around midday to enjoy a delicious lunch before having time to unwind and adjust to our new home for the next two nights.

Our first game drive leaves in the late afternoon as the heat of the day subsides, a time when animals become more active. With the hopes of catching a few exciting sightings, we will return to the lodge where our dinner awaits.

It’s an early start today and a quick snack is had before the sun rises. Our game drive leaves early, allowing us to catch sightings of the animals during this period of the day when they are active, including predators. Boasting the Big 5 in Pilanesberg’s impressive selection of wildlife, we are bound for good viewing from our safari vehicle in the soft morning light.

Arriving back at the lodge for breakfast, the next few hours will be spent relaxing and taking advantage of the facilities offered by the lodge. By the time late afternoon rolls around, we will be getting ready for our penultimate game drive which will see us return after dark.

The day ends with us reminiscing about our sightings over a hearty dinner.

Today we rise early again for our final game drive. After savouring a quick tea or coffee we will head out into the park with our ranger to hopefully catch some great sightings.

The diversity of the flora and fauna that the Pilanesberg has on show will make for some unforgettable memories. Once we return to the lodge, our final breakfast is had before we check out and depart the reserve.
