OVERVIEW

You’re walking quietly through the bush when your guide puts up their hand to stop… There they are ahead of you, a group of docile rhino grazing peacefully that have been aware of your approach long before you came. This and other awe-inspiring wildlife experiences are not uncommon at Ongava Lodge where there is a strong emphasis on conservation and research.

Set on a private reserve within the beautiful Cuvelai-Etosha Basin, Ongava boasts a productive waterhole monitored by camera traps and a hide for keen photographers and birders. The Ongava Research Centre has an interesting and impressive visitor centre where you can learn more. Chalets are stylish with air conditioning and outdoor showers to cool down in the summer heat!
