OVERVIEW

Yes, there is an actual lookout tower at Shongwe Lookout! Built decades ago and revamped with two platforms and a dumb waiter on which morning Mushwe coffee and evening sundowners are brought up, it rises above the treeline and is the perfect place to watch sunrise or sunset. The 360° view also shows you the scale of Victoria Falls Town and provides a place for reading or journaling.

Back on terra firma, Shongwe Lookout has three different room types, all of which are packed with necessities like Wi-Fi, hairdryers and USB charging ports. The bar is known as the kuhlangana or ‘place of gathering’ – a convivial setting to grab an ice-cold local craft beer and learn some more Shona words.
